I’m Claire Merten and I’ve been a yoga teacher since 2024. I trained in Baptiste Power Yoga, also known as Journey to Power Yoga, a dynamic and empowering vinyasa-based style of yoga that blends physical intensity with pranayama (breath work) and mindful meditation. Often practiced in a heated room, this type of strong yoga is designed to build physical and emotional strength and resilience.
Being powerful in yoga is not about how many chaturangas you can hold or whether you’ve mastered crow pose yet. It’s about embodying and cultivating your own inner strength and boldness. I believe this is achieved through a combination of physical movement, visualisation, meditation, and pranayama (breath work).
